ABC agreement  

Definition 1.

A contract between an employee and a brokerage firm outlining the rights of the firm purchasing an NYSE membership for that employee.
 

Definition 2.

An agreement between a brokerage firm and an employee detailing the rights of the firm when it purchases an NYSE if he/she leaves but must buy another seat for an individual named by the firm; B) sell the seat but return the proceeds to the firm; or C) transfer the seat to another employee of the firm.
 

Definition 3.

An agreement made between a purchasing member of a seat on the NYSE and the firm in which he/she works. With the approval of the NYSE, this agreement stipulates that the employee of the firm may:a) transfer the seat to another employee of the firm, b) retain ownership and purchase a new seat for another individual designated by the firm c) sell the seat and transfer any gains to the firm.
