Cliff Vesting
Definition 1.
A type of vesting that occurs all at once at a specified point in time rather then gradually. Up until this point there is no vesting, then at the point in time the benefit becomes fully vested.

Definition 2.
A characteristic of some retirement plans which specifies that employer matching contributions become the property of the employee all at once after a specified time period, rather than gradually.
