going ahead
Definition 1.
A broker's trading for his/her own account before filling his/her customers' orders, a violation of NASD's Rules of Fair Practice. also called running ahead.

A broker-dealer trades in a personal account prior to filling the orders of his or her clients. Prohibited by the NASD rules of fair practice.
