Paying agent
Definition 1.
An agent who makes principal and interest payments to bondholders on behalf of the issuer.

An agent who makes dividend payments to stockholders or principal and interest payments to bondholders on behalf of the issuer of those stocks or bonds.

An agent who accepts payments from the issuer of a security and then distributes the payments to the holders of the security.
