Short-Term Bond
Definition 1.
A Morningstar category for taxable bond funds that invest at least 70% of their assets in bonds with a focus on corporate and investment-grade bonds. These bonds have an average duration from 1 to 3.5 years or an average effective maturity from 1 to 4 years. To qualify as a bond fund with Morningstar, at least 70% of all assets must be invested in bonds.
