Cafeteria Plan
Definition 1.
An employee benefit plan that allows employees to choose from a variety of benefits to formulate a plan that best suits their needs. Also known as 'cafeteria employee benefit plan' or 'flexible benefit plan'.

A benefits plan that allows employees to select from a pool of choices, some or all of which may be tax-advantaged. Potential choices include cash, retirement plan contributions, vacation days, and insurance.
